As you know I love cats. They are my first love (other than my husband of course). My second love is dollhouses and miniatures. I bought a dollhouse at auction a while back and finally got the chance to fix it up and furnish it. This is how it looked when I bought it:
Its was a pretty nice dollhouse to begin with. But I have done some nice improvements that I will share with you, if you like. By the way my cats love the dollhouse too, which is why I had some acrylic panels made to attach to the back with velcro so that the cats could not get into the dollhouse. And of course once it is furnished they would probably use the furniture for hockey pucks. So this works out great. I also put the house on a board and attached the board to an old TV table on wheels so I can turn the house around anytime I want.
Next time you visit, maybe I will have a photo of the new improvements and furniture that I have purchased. So far I bought a kitchen (refrigerator, stove, sink and cabinet) and a country dinette set. I just purchased a dining room set. Too cute!!!
I bought a lot for the front of the house. Shutters, window boxes, outdoor patio furniture and some plants. Wait until you see..............
There must be some cat lovers out there that love miniatures. Write to me and let me know. Or you might want to start this as a hobby. Come on, be a child at heart and enjoy this relaxing and fanciful hobby. You deserve to have fun.
